For the photo contest, I'm submitting this WIP of my 4x6 Operation SeeLöwe board. I just threw units down for this photo so you'll see several heroes in one square, mismatched squads, etc.

In my Operation SeeLöwe, the BlutKreuz Korps are invading Southern England with the ultimate goal to recover artifacts stored at the British Museum in London. The Allies are not aware of the importance of these artifacts until it's almost too late.

My goal is to play Dust of more as an tactical RPG, with 2-3 players vs the GM. I think a lot more of the flavor comes through with the RPG element. And this setup can force players to use units that wouldn't normally be used in a competitive game. I love the original X-Com and Paolo Parente's Dust universe so this game is a good fit for me.

This mat is from Deep Cut Studios with a custom grid printed on it. If you ever order one like this, ask them to use a more pronounced grid. This one is difficult to see sometimes.

Finally, I didn't paint most of the units in this photo. The zombies and Sigrid are mine. I'm in the middle of painting a lot of untertoten zombies, SSU Spetsnaz infantry and terrain now. But most of that doesn't fit in this scenario.

Me too. I feel bad for him, that sucks.

I was getting close to buying $300 worth of buildings. Been waiting for a long time. Seems I waited too long.

I don't have first hand information, but I heard that his machine broke down so sadly he is not able to cut any more mdf.

I have no idea if he will be able to get it up and running again, but I really hope so since his stuff look awesome and is great for Dust.

The Thor Miniatures website doesn’t have any more mdf/hdf terrain left, at least that I can find. Are they still producing the Dust stuff?

Yeah, I decided I wanted propaganda posters, but also wanted to have a divide between real WWII and the Weird War II of Dust. Collected a bunch of real world posters and current pop culture references. You can find my file HERE. In addition to the introvert poster and the numerous Captain America/Hydra posters, the collection includes Google Earth, Thought Police, and email  attachment warning, and the Red M&M, among others.

Meanwhile, some things I've learned for coping with the vagaries of ADHD: when you hit a creative streak, ride that mother for all it's worth; don't slow down until the next thing comes along to distract you; and don't ever regret what you get done during a period of hyperfocus, even if you regret the period ended too soon.

Here's a couple more bits of terrain added to the collection - simple 'cinder block' building and wall. Still need to build a roof for the building - it's borrowing the previous fieldstone house roof for the pics.

Cinder Block Building
Luckily, if you don't know what to look for, you don't see how I screwed up and made it a quarter inch narrower than it is long.

Cinder Block Wall
Sometimes, you don't need a fancy piece of terrain; sometimes something simple and boring suits your needs.

And the whole collection so far...

these builds are pretty neat. and something different but nice to battle in. a whole scenario map filled with these must look very cool.
but  I absolutely love those posters. "Introverts unite...seperately in your own homes"  ;D

Cheers

Sweet that somebody’s daughter asked when you were done. “Dad, when are you nerds done with your ramblings.” At least that is how I heard it.  ;)
I'm glad you like the episode. Yes, that was Luddaz' daughter getting annoyed with us (your quote is almost exactly what she said) ;D

Cool episode, thanks.

The shinden is actually available in 1/48 - both with the propeller and engine versions.

Finished ruined wall (8")
You can see on the ruined house in the background where some propaganda posters have been added.
